The Christmas Market

If you are visiting in the winter, Gamla stan hosts Stockholm's oldest Christmas market. A tradition since 1837, the main square fills with classic red stalls where you can browse for handmade Swedish crafts, sample traditional smoked sausages, and warm up with a cup of glögg (mulled wine).
