Who am I?

Welcome to Stockholm Private Guide!

I'm Sara Bulgheroni, the founder, and I create tailor-made private tours to help you discover Stockholm.

I am a naturally curious person with a deep passion for history, art, architecture, and languages. Originally from Italy, I have spoken fluent English and French since an early age and have always loved traveling and connecting with people from different backgrounds. My academic journey began in Rome, where I studied history and linguistics at Sapienza University and took my first steps into the working world as a language teacher and translator at private universities, foundations, and institutions.

History, languages, and connecting with people from different cultures are the lenses through which I try to interpret and understand the world and today's society. Driven by my innate curiosity, I moved from Rome to Stockholm 15 years ago to study Swedish and fully immerse myself in Nordic culture: a culture that had long captivated me with its rich traditions and unique way of life.

My constant desire to learn and my genuine interest in exchange and dialogue naturally led me to the profession of guiding. Today, my goal is to help visitors experience Sweden through the eyes of a local. Thanks to a deep understanding of Nordic society, a thorough knowledge of Stockholm and Sweden, and many years of experience guiding around the capital and at the Vasa Museum, I create tailor-made tours in English, French, and Italian. My passion for Sweden and Stockholm goes beyond my work, and I also dedicate part of my time to writing and sharing stories about the city's cultural life.
